The Crosscreek Farm homestead is undergoing a facelift.  The farm consists of a 100 year old two-story farmhouse & several outbuildings & barns.  The barns have been sided with new metal, and the house has updated electric & plumbing and a new porch.  We'll add pictures as we improve.

The house and barns date back to the late 1800's.  The farm was used for a dairy, raising tobacco and poultry for many years.  Today, we raise registered quarter horses, boer/toggenburg goats, pygmy goats, duroc/landrace pigs, potbelly pigs, and various types of poultry.  We also have a jersey cow for milk, a dozen or so cats, lots of dogs and porch poultry.

Family wise, we are.....Jonathan and Colette Nester, with sons Taylor 11, and Matthew 9.

Our Goals
  • To raise our children with a spirit of giving, and compassion to animals.
  • To raise as much of our food to meet our needs.
  • To raise our animals as humanely and lovingly as possible.
  • To provide them good homes upon sale.
  • To farm our land with integrity and best management practices.
  • To encourage others to homestead, and learn from others when possible.
